They say all’s fair in love and war
That’s not actually true
There are rules that govern war, like conventions that people follow. Unspoken rules
About not attacking women and children or the unarmed for example
But if you break a law of war then you’re not given any mercy
So if there are rules to war maybe there are rules to love
If there are I must have broken them
I might have gone too far this time
More than a mind and heart should give
And you,
Show no mercy
