I can see us,

An odd pair

With my cold hands

And your crooked smile

Just as if we were kids

And I grabbed your hand and said

Hey come on, let’s go out and play

Let go of that old wound

The clouds of darkness

There is a world outside

Unknown to our childish eyes and minds

Forget your nightmares

Forget what you saw in the woods that night

That nobody believes

Belief doesn’t matter because

Kids are willing to

Hold their breath in a world of imagination
