A long long time ago
Or maybe just yesterday
I wrote a different story of me
At first you pretended not to see me
And so did I
You reached out
And I let my all my mystery go free
I couldn’t hide it from you anyways
So where is the joy in goodbye
Where is the medicine in walking alone
The beauty we made
Is like a child with no name
That I will think about
For a long time
After his last memory fades
Along with the pyramids
And the seven wonders of the world
I feel like dancing
When I see the wind through the reeds and wildflowers
Growing between the cracks of the giant
Ancient brick mountain
Already ruined beyond destruction
the ways my body remembers how to dance
Through memory
Through time
Through change
