The constant light of regret

Keeps burning

Keeps alive

Far away another life is traded for a dollar

Another friend

And in twilights harmony

I sensed a new outlook

I always want more

And your power cannot be broken

By any disappointment

Or broken heart

I am not allowed to say your secrets

Because they have no words to tell

And you claim to be a silent man

A master of stillness

Secrets that slip under my shirt

Secrets that battle for my fears while I sleep 

And unknowingly,

wrestle with my own courage

Not knowing how close you stand guard

How close you pay attention
