The hard shells of coconuts
Rough in my hands
But heartbreakingly soft inside
The empty husk of days
Piled up and forgotten
The sun and dust dance in the afternoon
Like a yellow drunken haze
The more time passes
The more it stays the same
I never forget the weight of sleep
Or, it can’t forget me
Do I wait for him
Or does my lover wait for me?
