Boy advice

If I ever have a daughter I will give her this advice no one gave to me:

When men fight over you, don’t pick a side. Even if you are attached to one more than the other, even if you think you know what is right or fair, you do not. I know it is frightening and painful, but allow them to fight. You have no control. You have to surrender.

They must fight because they need it from their souls. They need to find themselves, it is a gift beyond winning and losing. The hard part is that you have to accept the outcome as what nature intended. Because they will show you what you deserve that you do not yet know.
